Street Tag Planned Activities And Features From May 2021

What's new in May’s app update:

  1. Complete offline mode.

  2. Complete offline and hybrid offline mode for C1 and C2. C1 & C2 (children accounts) will now work in offline mode on the Street Tag app from May. In the new app update, there are two buttons to use the app offline; 'hybrid offline' and 'complete offline'. You no longer need to put your phone on airplane mode or switch off your phone’s data to reap the benefits of the complete offline mode. 

  3. . Turn C1 and C2 into an adult account (you can no longer log onto your C1 or C2 on a separate phone, the child account is designed to be attached to a parent account). To log onto your C1 / C2 account on a separate phone for your child, you first need to switch the account into an adult account (settings > profile > "TURN C1/C2 INTO ADULT"), and once this is done it is irreversible.

  4. Dashboard and Leaderboard performance improvement.

  5. General UI and bug fixes.

  6. App performance improvement.

  7. Every 18 tags collected in hybrid or complete offline mode will now earn you 400 bonus points. It is better to use the offline mode as often as possible, while using the online mode occasionally. Using the offline mode will also allow your phone battery to last longer. Don’t forget you also receive additional bonus points!

  8. Poly Tags and Monuments Tour tags can now be collected in offline modes.

    Street Tag will have a weekly Free Street Tag Virtual Zoom Dance Class with Angelique with PEcodes.

    This will be every Wednesday (starting 5th May for 10 weeks) at 6:30pm.

    To join, please press join, register for the class the first time and then just press join every week. A new zoom link will be sent to you every week after you have clicked join.     This is taking place weekly via Zoom to circumvent the music copyright blocking issues on Facebook live.

    We have designed an NFC tag system that will allow certain individuals (such as the seniors), families (with children) without access to a smartphone or the internet, and parents/ guardians that would like their engaged children to collect their virtual tags with their own (physical) NFC Tags to do so and participate in the Street Tag experience.

    You can earn rewards of 5 bonus points per tag that you assist others to collect through your NFC-enabled phone i.e. assisting Street Tag NFC Tag holders will earn you 5 additional bonus points per tag.     If your school has qualified for the Oxfordshire School Games FINALS in the past month, existing parents in those school teams need to log out and log back in to view the correct information on your app dashboard, as your school account has now been moved into the finals Leaderboard. If you are a new player joining the qualified schools you will need to use your school's new QR code to join.

    Tag Broadcast is now turned on in Oxfordshire, Colchester and in Barking and Dagenham. Try it out on your walk, run, cycle ride or roll. Tag Broadcast rewards you with extra bonus points.

    May/ June Half term holiday fun - Send us your #Selfieinthepark outdoor picture once during the half-term holiday with your username to claim a 1,000 points bonus.     In May, residents of Kidlington in Cherwell can take advantage of the Health Routes with 100 points tags. All the routes can be downloaded from cherwell district council website for more:

    Newham Community and Schools Leaderboard Launch Challenge 

    All Community Teams who collect 10,000 points or more in week one of the launch will be entered into a FREE prize draw.

    All School Teams that collect 100,000 points or more in week one of the launch will be entered into a FREE prize draw.
