Early Years & Childcare Providers
Street Tag brings families and communities together by turning your neighbourhood into a virtual playground. We encourage staff, children, parents, carers, and extended family to be physically active by walking, running, cycling and rolling in their wheelchairs to earn rewards.
Using the Street Tag app, users can record their distance, steps, and points earned from collecting tags at various locations, creating a sense of friendly competition in order to climb up the School Leaderboard rankings.
Teams can have up to 250 participants, including children, parents, family members and staff, who will all collectively compete against other teams on the Leaderboard for prizes. You can also have an additional team of 250 participants depending on the size of your service - please let us know when your team reaches 225 participants and we will create a new team for you.
HOW IT WORKS
We will use virtual, and some physical tags, to create fun, engaging and friendly competition around physical activity.
We will place virtual tags around your local area including parks, libraries, and popular active travel routes.
Users walk, run, cycle or roll to virtual tags, which are displayed on the app’s interface.
Users will also be able to create their own virtual tags in their favourite places and chosen travel routes.
Virtual tags are worth an average of 50 points each, and tags with a ‘star’ on them are worth additional bonus points.
Once participants are within a 40-metre radius of a tag, they will automatically receive the points which helps the team move up the Leaderboard.
At the end of each Leaderboard Season, the winners will be announced and receive performance bonus prizes.
We will sometimes use PE codes and QR codes, which are special editions - participants use the Street Tag app to collect these.
PE codes and QR codes are additional rewards for users who directly interact with libraries, parks and other facilities.
We will also use these during themed challenges and events.
We are currently only accepting providers based within the UK.
