Street Tag's NFC Tags.
*NFC stands for Near Field Communication.
We have designed an NFC tag system that will allow individuals (such as the seniors) and families (with children) without access to a smartphone, without access to the internet, and parents/guardians with children that would like their engaged children to collect their virtual tags with their own (physical) NFC Tags to do so and participate in the Street Tag experience.
You can earn rewards of 5 bonus points per tag that you assist others to collect through your NFC-enabled phone i.e. Assisting Street Tag NFC Tag holders will earn you additional 5 bonus points per tag. So it pays to help others and do good, especially in assisting seniors in your community to participate in Street Tag.
To assist others with the Street Tag NFC Tags to collect their tags with your smartphone. You simply support them to tap their NFC Tag on the back of your smartphone each time that you are both standing within a 40-metre radius of a virtual tag, QR Tag, or Poly Tag. Doing this will credit the weight of the points of such tag into the account of the NFC Tag owner. e.g. a smartphone owner walks to a tag location with another Street Tag user with just their NFC Tag (without a smartphone), this virtual tag has 10 points, the smartphone owner collects the tag, the NFC Tag owner also taps their NFC Tag on the back of the phone of the smartphone owner. The NFC Tag owner will instantly receive the 10 points too in their account.
The NFC Tags are not for individuals with smartphones already, Street Tag reserve the rights to deny you access to an NFC Tag.
Note - anyone with an NFC Tag can tap on the back of ANY other street tag account user with NFC enabled smartphone.
The NFC Tag tapping action will also work at locations with QR Tags i.e. with no need to use the camera to scan the QR Tag, by tapping someone else's smartphone the user will get the points. The same will work for Poly Tag locations if you are an NFC Tag user.
We are a large community and therefore encouraging families to be kind to each other in assisting those without access to a smartphone or the internet, to participate in the Street Tag experience. Build positive relationships and make friends with your neighbours, friends, and families.
Please note the fastest and the most convenient method to use Street Tag still remains to have a smartphone.
