Welcome to the River Roding Trail, a free Street Tag experience bringing new life to three hidden gems in Barking & Dagenham:
Harts Lane Estate, Town Quay Wharf, and Barking Barrage.

Over four weeks, join the movement that’s turning these spaces into a vibrant playground for families, schools, and young explorers.
Just download the Street Tag app and step into a game of walking, discovery, and real rewards.


How to Join the Community Leaderboard

  1. Download Street Tag from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Tap Sign Up and enter your details.

  3. Select the Community Leaderboard.

  4. Join an existing team or create your own.

  5. Choose Barking & Dagenham as both Circuit and Event.

  6. Verify your number + complete the quick questionnaire.

  7. Start scanning and scoring!

How to Join the School Leaderboard

If your child is a student in one of the local schools. Schools can participate in the River Roding challenge by joining the Street Tag School Leaderboard, where pupils earn points for walking, exploring, and scanning tags along the trail.

  1. Download the Street Tag app
    Available on the App Store and Google Play.

  2. Sign up as a pupil or parent
    Open the app, tap Sign Up, and complete the quick registration.

  3. Select the School Leaderboard
    When prompted, choose School Leaderboard (not Community).

  4. Find your school
    Search for your school name and request to join the school team.

  5. Choose the correct location settings
    Select Barking & Dagenham as both:

    • Circuit

    • Event

  6. Verify and start playing
    Verify your phone number, complete the short questionnaire, and start scanning Street Tag QR codes along the River Roding trail.
