Tag Broadcast Functionality on Street Tag Update
As we prepare to launch the testing round 2 of the Tag Broadcast functionality on Street Tag. We want to highlight all the broadcasts that were community-generated and verified by the community. Both in London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, and in Basildon.
The changes to expect in the new October update after the testing round one feedback are...
1. Internally in the report card that's generated once the community has verified a broadcast, it now includes the timestamp, and confirmation if the report is on public land, private land, or unknown.
2. Residents can now turn-off push notification alerts from the app settings if they do not want to receive Tag Broadcast notifications, this ofcourse means you are likely to be missing out on all the engagement of Tag Broadcast and the additional points rewards.
3. Residents that are not part of the verification consensus of the broadcast will not receive the points rewards, therefore only the residents that verify the broadcaster content accurately will receive their reward points.
4. The next round of Tag Broadcast update after this October will hopefully have support for rewarding residents for litter picking. And it will also have support local authorities to have API access to be able to connect Tag Broadcast to feed into their respective legacy systems.
5. Finally we are planning to build relationships with community volunteer groups that are already organised in keeping the community clean and clearing waste. We are testing an hypothesis that these volunteer groups might be more agile at using this community technology to coordinate their effort.
