YOUR GUIDE TO USING THE UPCOMING MARCH 2021 RELEASE OF THE STREET TAG OFFLINE MODE.

Using offline mode is not compulsory, however, it comes with advantages. Your tags collected in offline mode will appear here only an hour after your tagging activity. You must sync your offline tags within 24 hours after they've appeared here. Street Tag CANNOT recover unsynced tags that are automatically deleted after 24 hours.

All offline tags must be synced first if at all you need to uninstall and reinstall the app.

While in an offline mode do not attempt to log into the same account on another device, the app will automatically classify this as an attempt to cheat and you will instantly lose your active unsynced scanned tags data.

While your offline mode is turned ON, you will be limited in some functionalities of the app until you switch OFF the offline mode to come back online.

Monument tour tags cannot be collected during a complete offline mode. However, it will work if you are using the hybrid offline/online mode. By hybrid offline/online mode, this means that your smartphone has internet but your offline mode is turned ON using the 'collect tags in offline' function on the Street Tag app. By Complete offline mode, this means that your smartphone does not have internet connectivity at all.

While in hybrid offline/online mode, the app will be able to detect internet connection while in offline mode to collect your tags without using the internet, the hybrid is essential to access other parts of the app such as the leaderboard, etc, however, if your internet speed is poor, you will still see the loading effect on the screen. In this instance, you may wish to completely disconnect your internet from your phone for your Street Tag app to automatically go into an offline mode with much-improved app performance.

All steps can be synced fluidly both in offline and online mode.

You can view up to 99 tags only in offline mode. Online mode is limited to just 30 tags.
