Your Guide To #CouchToPB

Please ensure you are using #CouchToPB in online mode only.

PB means ‘Personal Best’.

PB Type means ‘Walking PB, Running PB, Cycling PB, Wheelchair PB’.

Route Type means ‘2k route, 5k route, 10k route, 15k route, 20k route, and 25k route’ .

The idea of PB is that suppose you did a 2k route walking and you completed it walking in 15minutes 20 seconds, then the next time that you walk the route, you complete it in 14 minutes 40 seconds, your new time record will be classed as a new PB, and the app will reward you with an additional bonus points reward. You are rewarded with 450 points bonus each time that you set a new PB per category of PB type.

You can set up 1k route, 2k route, 3k route, 5k route, 10k route, and 15k route.

Each of the 6 route types will individually have options for walking PB, Running PB, Cycling PB, Wheelchair PB.

To create a route, you start by assigning a starting point Tag using existing tags if available, and assign a finish point Tag. The app will automatically assist you to calculate the kilometre from the start and endpoint tag added. For additional validation, there is a minimum number of tags e.g. 3 tags that you must collect in-between the start tag and end tag of your 2k PB route. The validation is to ensure you are actively exercising to set a new PB. Please find the details below:

1k route > You must collect 1 tag in between the Start tag and the End tag.

2k route > You must collect 3 tags in between the Start tag and the End tag.

3k route > You must collect 5 tags in between the Start tag and the End tag.

5k route > You must collect 8 tags in between the Start tag and the End tag.

10k route > You must collect 10 tags in between the Start tag and the End tag.

15k route > You must collect 14 tags in between the Start tag and the End tag.

To ensure that you complete and record a PB time. You must collect your START tag, the required tags in-between, and your END tag.

Each routes needs to have a different START and END tag. e.g. Your start tag for your 2k routes, must be different to your selected start tag for your 5k. The same applies to your end tags.

You need to complete your PB in the same 24hrs day, this will ensure that your recorded time will not be void.

Your #CouchToPB history is visible to you on the app to view how well you have progressed with your walking, running, cycling and/or wheelchair previous personal best time records.

#CouchToPB has a leaderboard for the best time records for walking, running, cycling, and wheelchair. This is a general community leaderboard that does not earn users additional prizes unlike the standard leaderboard on Street Tag.
