Question: I'm still unable to connect my Huawei step counter to the app despite updating the app. It says my phone does not support Huawei health even though I have the Huawei health app installed. Can you help please?

Answer: Are you using a Huawei phone? If so, try the following:

1. Download and reinstall the health app using the Huawei App Gallery, not the Play Store. (This step may sort your connectivity with your watch so may not be required but worth it nevertheless.)

2. In the Health app go to: Me - Privacy Management. Then enable Link Huawei Health Kit.

3. In the Health app go to: Me - Settings. Enable auto-sync data.

4. Then restart your phone.

How are steps calculated into Street Tag points?

100 steps equal 10 points. Depending on how often you sync your steps, it's likely that you might miss out on some steps, so be mindful. The best way to optimise your sync, for example, would be to sync when your steps are at a whole eg. 500 steps = 50 points. However, 590 steps will still only equal 50 steps. Synching 590 x 5 times in a day will have you miss out on 90 steps x5.

I synced my account with my Fitbit today but it didn't pick up on my steps.

Please follow these steps to ensure your Fitbit is synced.  Street Tag does not directly connect with your Fitbit device, it syncs with the data of your Fitbit from your Fitbit cloud account. Occasionally Fitbit device does not properly sync with your cloud account via your Fitbit app. To fix this, please open your Fitbit app on your phone and ensure the steps on your device has fully synced with your Fitbit. Once that's done, reopen your Street Tag app to sync your Fitbit steps. You may need to sync without using WiFi.

General Notice: If you are still having issues syncing your steps, please proceed to have your steps uploaded and approved via the 'steps support' option described above.
