We are glad that taggers are excited with the new app update that we released on Monday. It's been nearly 2 months of building and testing before the release. As we head towards the official release of the Poly Tag feature (learn more about the Poly Tags here) this Saturday- 15th Feb 2020- at St Chad's Park in Dagenham, with our partner BE FIRST. We want to take this opportunity to give insights into the world of endless fun that we are building into your physical activities.

As part of our drive to improve your Street Tag experience, we are focusing our development effort (in the interim) towards building "Physical Activities Detection" (PAD) feature. PAD will play an important role in detecting if a tagger is Cycling, Running, Walking or driving. With PAD integration, you will be able to see the different categories of when you cycled, walked, went running etc from your settings > download.

Street Tag app will “switch off” scanning when it detects that a user is driving (i.e. it switches off to idle mode and no tagging takes place even if the app is open on the map screen). It will turn on itself again to start scanning when walking, running or cycling is detected (i.e. switches back on to start tagging regardless whether the app is opened on the map screen or just opened in the background). Although we do not currently have a set date for when PAD will be released, we hope it will be much sooner than later. We envisage that it might affect battery consumption once released, however, we are working towards improving battery consumption and hope this improvement will happen as soon as possible.

We will commence development on Poly Tag update version 2 release as shown on the Poly Tag description page. We believe that PAD integration is important towards Poly Tag version 3 update, with the major monetary value being introduced to the Poly Tags in £pounds.

Watch-out for a new feature coming to Street Tag called “Eparks”, this will be replacing the Saturday's Special Tags at 10am - a much-advanced feature that will enhance your experience in parks. We are yet to start building this but we have all the plans in writing, we will share further information at a later date.

We do what we do to bring us closer to our vision of having you, ourselves and every family, everywhere, to be physically active; in a sustainable and fun way possible. Keep tagging, keep sharing your experiences and feedback with us and keep spreading the word with your family and friends #LoveTagging.
